AVID at Hazelton
We're proud to be certified in the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program, which is a college and career readiness system designed to help students develop the skills they need to succeed. AVID focuses on teaching students how to think critically, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly—all essential skills for a successful future. Through our AVID program, students learn study habits, organization techniques, and valuable strategies like WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading). Our goal is to empower all students to reach their full potential and prepare them for a wide range of post-secondary options.
